Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew, cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two? Well, we all know the Candy Man can — and what better Candy Man than Pete from Jacksonville’s own Sweet Pete’s Candy Shoppe.
Following the fun of the Gumdrop Kids Fun Run and the traditional 5K event on September 28th, Sweet Pete’s will host a candy buffet at the finish line. Participants will be able to choose from an array of lollipops, caramels and other assorted candies, making it the sweetest finish ever.
“I was very excited when Fetal Health renamed the run The Great Candy Run. As the only local, all-natural candy shoppe, Sweet Pete’s believes it is important to support local children’s charities,” said Shoppe Owner Peter Behringer.
Benefiting the Fetal Health Foundation, this sweet event supports families whose babies are diagnosed with intrauterine fetal syndromes. The Foundation, started in 2006, has supported thousands of families around the country with travel assistance, diagnosis and treatment information, and counseling and bereavement support.
